Smoking in the open air....

• Tobacco consumption in the hospitals is ABSOLUTELY prohibited. This prohibition includes the suppression of all of the smokers' areas previously established (operating theatres, nursing areas and interior fire-stairs).
• At the same time, the law recognises a single exception in hospitals: The psychiatry services, which at the discretion of the Head of the Service and/or Centre, may have a small smokers' area, only for the patients, and totally separated. 
• Courtyards, terraces and outside staircases are not included in this prohibition.

With respect to the Centres of the MAR Health Park, it is unavoidable that changes will be made affecting the areas that were previously smokers' areas.
