Visit a relative at Hospital de l'Esperança

THIS VISITING REGIME WILL BE FOLLOWED WHENEVER THE EPIDEMIOLOGICAL SITUATION ALLOWS IT AND IN NON-COVID UNITS THAT ARE NOT IN AN OUTBREAK SITUATION.

GENERAL RULES:

  • Visits from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (see specifications for each unit).
  • Preferably, always the same accompanying person with complete vaccination schedule.
  • Hand hygiene.
  • Mandatory use of masks. Visitors should bring them from home:
    • FFP2 mask: COVID Units or suspected COVID, Units in outbreak and patients with respiratory pathology who are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
    • Surgical mask: all other units.
  • In order to avoid possible infections to the patients, plants, flowers, plush toys and/or food cannot be brought.

At the time of admission and discharge, a family member is allowed to accompany the patient to the hospitalisation unit.

During the stay, as long as the capacity of the units allows it and at the discretion of the supervision of each service and/or unit:

Inpatient units

  • Visits every day from the first day of admission.
  • 1 persons per visit.
  • Opening hours: from 10:00 h to 20:00 h.

COVID or outbreak hospitalisation units

Inpatient units

  • Visits every day from the first day of admission.
  • 1 persons per visit.
  • Opening hours: from 10:00 h to 20:00 h.

Critical and semi-critical care units

  • Visits every day from the first day of admission.
  • 1 persons per visit.
  • Opening hours: from 10:00 h to 20:00 h.

Emergencies

  • Access to boxes and corridors of the Restricted Area will not be allowed.

Exceptional cases (visiting regime according to the indications of the care team)

  • Minors.
  • Dementia and/or severe cognitive impairment.
  • Acute confusional syndrome or delirium.
  • Severe sensory deficit.
  • Severe communication impairment (aphasia).
  • End of life situation.
