How to reach to the Hospital del Mar centers
Mobility will be affected by the America's Cup sailing competition.
The 37th edition of this sporting event, which starts on 22 August and will finish at the end of October, may cause problems for access to the Hospital de Mar. Although, as a general rule, it will not be restricted, private transport is discouraged and it is recommended that priority be given to using public transport to get to the centre.
The usual metro and bus lines will be reinforced and access will be possible by taxi or VTC, bicycle or scooter and motorbike. If you wish to use a private vehicle, it is important to remember that paid parking spaces around the centre have been eliminated.
Patients and relatives will also be able to enter the hospital as normal. In order to facilitate access in the event of occasional restrictions, families of admitted patients will be provided with a voucher.
Access for ambulances, service and delivery vehicles will be guaranteed at all times.
