Reconstructive surgery of skin tumors

The skin is the largest organ in the human body. Given its large surface, it is under constant influence of external-environmental factors.

The associated diseases are predominant adquired (trauma and tumors).

Skin is without doubt the most frequent maneged tissue from a plastic surgeon as every intervention have to be aproched through skin incision (skin and subcutaneous tissue).

Today the knowledge of human angiosomes or separated and identified vascular territories of the skin surface, is a base for complex reconstructions.

Fat tissue has become, in recent years in great issue of interest in plastic surgery reconstruction as can allow the surgeon to fill and volumize a defect with it´s regenerative properties.

It´s high content of stem-cells raises now, new frontiers in reconstructive and cosmetic surgery.
